Remembering Mark Stennes
Many of us lost a friend this summer of 2014. Mark Stennes, lover of elms, a leader in tree care science, research and education left us far too soon.
In his time on earth, Mark left an indelible imprint on tree care and the reintroduction of elms to our streetscapes. Mark was a 15+ year Minnesota Shade Tree Short Course Steering Committee veteran, a role that he took very seriously. As a born teacher, this role suited him perfectly.
This rock elm was planted in memoriam of Mark and his love of trees.
