Green Ash
Once widely used in the urban landscape due to its tolerance to most adverse conditions. The green ash has now come under attack from the Emerald Ash Borer. This species shows little to no tolerance for the borer. Once widely used as a replacement for the American elm after Dutch Elm Disease decimated the species, it now is facing the same fate. These trees can be treated, and should be if it is vibrant specimen. We do not recommend planting any green ash.
