Northern Catalpa

 ​The Northern catalpa can be seen on the streets of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. They aren't widely used as a street tree but when used, make a distinct impression. In spring they have lovely flowers that cover the entire tree and in fall have long slender seed pods hanging from the branches. Somewhat of weak wooded tree and should be planted with caution. If pruned and cared for properly, these trees make great landscape additions.
